| South Canaan Telephone Company provides single party residence with
unlimited local usage and business service for rates which range from $9.30 per month for
residence and $18.95 per month for business for Waymart customers. South Canaan customers
range from $11.75 per month for residence and $23.50 per month for business customers.
This includes access to: Long Distance Carriers, Emergency Service, Operator Service,
Directory Assistance, Telecommunications Replay Service, Other Services Designed for
Persons with Disabilities and Toll Blocking. Use of these services may result in additional charges. In addition, The South Canaan Telephone Company provides one copy of it's annual directory without charge. Touch Tone service is available at no extra charge to the customer. The South Canaan Telephone Company would be pleased to provide you with specific rates for your area upon request. The South Canaan Telephone Company offers qualified customers Lifeline Service. If you are a low income customer you may qualify for The South Canaan Telephone Company's new Lifeline Program. This means that you may receive a monthly discount for your basic phone charges. This service also includes a discount for line connection charges and free toll blocking for qualifying customers. If you qualify for Lifeline, you may
also qualify for a program called Link Up America. This program provides 50% off the
regular onetime charge to connect a phone line at your home. You may qualify for Link Up
America if your income is at or below 150% of the U.S. Census Bureau Poverty Guidelines,
or if you are one of the following programs: Temporary Assistance for Needy Families
(TANF), Categorically Needy Medical Assistance (Blue Card), Food Stamps, General
Assistance (GA), State Blind Pension, Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP),
Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Medically Needy Only Medical Assistance (Green Card). |
